Pics of the day: AK & Midwest, EU & N Asia

Well...here's an interesting piece of info eh? The cloudtops over China show min temps as low as around -160 degrees or so! These could either be caused by some cirrus, however, those clouds with extremely frigid temps can also indicate some strong storms during the warm months. Meanwhile, AUS is just a really warm place like always, though not really record setting whatsoever. AK's coldest temps now are past -40 degrees (-40C), possibly somewhere in the subfifties. Meanwhile in Siberia, there are lots of sub 50's that occupy an immense amount of territory, and almost stretch even into Kamtchatka. Japan is moderate, much much warmer than Most of China and even Sakhalin. Currently the Tibetan Plateua's coldest reading is extremely bitter (to much of us, and definitely not tolerable), at about -33. We can safely say that this is one incredibly cold one if you're anywhere in or around China or in Russia. Southern AK is not too miserable, with readings even inching past 40 degrees up in the Gulf. Many of these places I'm not too sure about whether I'd like to be there this time of year or not!
Verdict?
Let's live for the moment. After all, we have nothing to show 4 climate change, at least we can wish for the future 2 differ from this...
