Is The Sun's Solar Energy About To Increase?

After what might as well have seemed to be a solar minimum for the last several months, the sun may not be silent any more. Currently, there is a major sunspot which has come into view on the Sun. Could this be the next culprit for a major solar storm which could impact Earth? Are we entering into a solar minimum, or does this sunspot mean that we are not quite entering the solar minimum?
