I am skeptical but this really happened. Two dark objects seem to "disappear" into the night sky, and I take clear note of what they looked like and how they traveled.

I'm a skeptic when it comes to unexaplained phenomena, especially UFOs. I believe what others say or write about UFOs, but I don't necessarily believe in the explanations that those people give because I don't like to assume anything without knowing for sure. Let me tell you an object that I saw once. This night, which just happened to be the day after the 4th of July, it started when I was observing the moon. By the time I got outside, which was some time between 10 & 11 or so, the moon had risen to a fairly high degree in the sky.
Notes- how I saw them
I had observed two dark objects in the sky. I could see them because of light pollution. They stood out against the bright sky.
Shape
They were irregularly shaped, not symmetric. They had irregular curves and straight edges on them, most resembling a crumpled piece of paper, foil, or fabric, although my observation indicated they may be metallic. They did not resemble any satellite that I know of. The second object appeared a seemingly long time after the other one as I kept the telescope pointed at the same place in the sky.
More details
They passed in front of the moon, which was between 75% and about 95% full. I noticed that they were higher in elevation than aircraft usually fly. They seemed to move faster than commercial aircraft, about at least 1000 mph, but their apparent speed was like jet at cruising altitude so they took between 20 & 50 seconds to pass the moon. I couldn't see exhaust fums or light coming from them and they didn't rotate or spin, just moved in a straight path. As they passed the part of the moon that was lit up by the sun, I could still see them because they stood out against the brighter sky which was lit up by light pollution. As the objects passed in front of the moon each one literally seemed to "vanish" , or "teleport". They blended in with the sky. Approximately a half of a second after they vanished, something took their place! What was it...?
As the objects vanished, I observed sparks being left behind, as though a firework had gone off. At first I just observed tiny sparks glittering and disappearing quickly. As the second object disappeared, I took a closer look at the apparent explosion, and observed debris going off in stream patterns. This is similar to how certain kinds of fireworks may go off or how a missile or space vehicle/ rocket disintegrates.
Because the eyepiece was a 25mm, it magnified about 45 times.

  1. Honestly, looking back on this, I forgot to mention a couple of interesting features. 1) the object would fit 200 or more times inside the lunar disk, & 2) The shapes were intriguing, as they had curved & straight edges, which is remarkably alike to what one would see in the shape of crumpled paper, tin, or other thin material.
