Weather recap 10/4/13
A cold front in the midwest collided with warm moist air from the gulf. The risk for convection was moderate. West side of the system caused over two feet of snow in Wyoming, with snow also falling in Montana. west SD, and Colorado, with temperatures during daytime down to about 28 degrees. The east side of the system caused 7 or more tornado reports in eastern SD, western Iowa, and eastern Nebraska. One of the tornadoes was a multi vortex, while another was about 1 mile wide and the same multi vortex or another tornado was 1/2 mile wide, with one of them north and another south of Sioux City. Heat ahead of the front was in the mid or upper 70s in the north.
